Kids & Youth

Nurturing Faith from the Start

At First Avenue Presbyterian, we believe every child is a precious gift from God. Our children’s and youth programs create a safe, caring, and faith-filled space for young people to learn, grow, and experience God’s love.

Programs for Children

We proudly partner with The Third Story Ministry to host programs that serve at-risk children and families in our community.

Whiz Kids

Whiz Kids

Whiz Kids Tutoring meets on Monday evenings during the school year, providing homework help, mentoring, and encouragement.

These programs include shared meals, life-skills development, and the message of Christ’s love in action — right here in the heart of the Baker Neighborhood.

Street Church offers meals and activities on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, building relationships and providing hope to children facing difficult circumstances.

youth group

youth group

Our Youth Group helps students in 6th–12th grade discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Youth join the main worship service with their families and are dismissed after the children’s message for a time of connection, learning, and fun.

Schedule: Sundays, 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: City Church Denver

Together, students build friendships, grow in faith, and learn to serve with purpose — finding joy and belonging in Christ.
