share your joy as you plan for your wedding. This information is to help you as
you prepare for your church wedding at First Avenue Presbyterian Church.
The Pastor, clergyperson or officiant at the wedding
The couple may choose who will officiate at their wedding. They may
use their own pastor or the pastor of First Avenue Presbyterian Church is
available by arrangement. The officiant will want to meet with the couple in
order to plan the worship service for the wedding.
What is the
church's policy regarding picture taking?
The couple is responsible
for providing their own photographer. It is recommended that pictures be taken
before and after the service and that flash pictures not be taken during the
ceremony.
What is the church's policy regarding smoking and
alcohol?
Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere
in the church.
Miscellaneous
A special
Bride's Dressing Room is provided for the Bride and
her attendants.
The Church Parlor is provided as the Groom's
Room.
A wedding coordinator is provided to help with the rehearsal and
wedding ceremony.
Off street parking is available next to the church
building.
The church's organist is available to play for the wedding by
arrangement.
We do not allow the use of mylar confetti. Food and drink
are not allowed in the Sanctuary.
All wedding attendants should be
at the rehearsal. Music should be planned with the musician well in advance of
the service and the musician should attend the rehearsal.
Fees
for your wedding
Our $1,000 wedding package includes the use of the
Sanctuary, Parlor and Bride's Room, plus the services of our wedding
coordinator and custodial services. The services of the wedding coordinator and
custodian apply to the rehearsal as well.
