Programs for Children at First Avenue Presbyterian
Special efforts are being made to reach at-risk children and youth. In collaboration with the Whiz Kids program of Denver Public Schools and The Third Story, we are offering activities for children on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. The programs include a meal and classes for developing basic skills in interpersonal relationships. These programs are very important to the neighborhood and help children who are facing grave problems in their families, like substance abuse and addiction of family members.
Sunday School Sunday School is offered for all ages from 10:00 am to 10:40 a.m. Older preschool children are taught using the "Wee Believe" materials. Elementary children are learning "We Believe" materials while our Youth our enjoying the ReForm video. Please call 303-777-5325 for more information. Also during our Sunday worship service at 11 a.m, the children gather in the front for a Children's Sermon before the congregation.
